I am planning on majoring in aerospace engineering, or mechanical engineering depending on what is available at the colleges I applied to. I've always loved to build things and know how things worked. Space has also fascinated me since I was little. I had so many questions. Because of these feelings, I wanted to be an engineer for NASA.
One major person in the mechanical/aerospace engineering field is Mark Rober. He worked at NASA for nine years and was a part of the team that worked on the Curiosity rover. After leaving, he worked at Apple as a product design engineer. He currently posts educational youtube videos full time. He earned his master’s degree in mechanical engineering at USC. I found his youtube channel in middle school, which is used to educate people to create and learn about science and engineering. He is down to earth, intelligent, creative, innovative, and well-versed. His videos are inspiring and entertaining, which is why I initially started watching him. I don’t plan on being a youtuber, but I do want to work for a company like NASA in the future.
